Scholarship Financial Benefits
The KMU scholarship offers various types of benefits such as:
Type A:
- One-year tuition waived,
- An amount of NTD 10,000 stipend/month,
- Dormitory or housing accommodation coverage.
Type B:
- One-year tuition waived
- Dormitory housing accommodation coverage.
Type C:
- Only one year of tuition is waived.
Note: Undergraduate applicants must only apply for Type C, Master’s degree applicants can apply for Type B and Type C, and Ph.D. degree applicants are eligible to apply for all types of scholarships.
Eligibility Criteria for KMU Taiwan
To be eligible for the Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements.
- International Students from any country other than Taiwan can apply for KMU scholarship.
- Must be healthy both physically and mentally.
- Candidate Not be a recipient of any other scholarships at the same time.
- Must fill out the application form with accurate details completely and submit the application materials that are required by the university.
- A high school degree is required to apply for bachelor’s Degree programs.
- An undergraduate or bachelor’s degree is required to apply for Master’s Degree programs.
- A master’s degree is required to apply for Ph.D./Doctoral Degree programs.

- A Study plan (English or Chinese).
- English Proficiency Certificate (In case your previous degree is all English-taught courses then applicants should ask the university or department or advisor to issue the certificate (proof) that the medium of instruction is English at this institute).
