Eligibility Criteria

Applicants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below to be eligible for the MEXT Scholarship program.

• International applicants with non-Japanese Nationality holder can apply.
• Applicants should, in principle, have been born on or after 2 April 2000.
• Must be 18 years of age or older when entering a university in Japan. (Exceptions are limited)
• Only Applicants are eligible who have completed 12 years of schooling.
• Applicant must be able to go to Japan between April 1 and 7 April 2025
